Anger Management Therapy in Fort Worth & Across Texas
Anger itself is not the problem. Anger is a signal that tells you something matters, that a boundary has been crossed, that something feels unfair or threatening. The problem is when anger comes out in ways that damage relationships, create consequences at work, or leave you feeling out of control and ashamed afterward.
Anger management in therapy is different from a court-ordered class. It is not about suppressing anger or performing calmness. It is about understanding what is driving it, developing real skills to respond rather than react, and addressing whatever is underneath because anger rarely shows up alone.
What We Help With
Explosive or disproportionate anger responses, difficulty de-escalating once activated, anger in relationships and at work, road rage and situational triggers, anger connected to trauma or past experiences, and the shame and relationship damage that often follow anger episodes.
How We Work
Our therapists use DBT distress tolerance and emotion regulation skills, CBT to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, and trauma-informed approaches when anger is rooted in unprocessed experiences. Robert Boes, LCSW-S and Alejandra Belluche, LPC both have experience working with clients on anger-related challenges.
Who We Work With
We work with adults and adolescents (10+). We see both clients who are self-referred and those referred by a court, employer, or partner. In-person sessions in Fort Worth and virtual sessions across Texas.
