THERAPIST (They/He)

Mo Martin, LPC-A

Supervised by Beck Munsey, PhD, LPC-S

No matter where you come from or who you are, you deserve to live with dignity and acceptance. I provide an affirming space for all to feel safe exploring their experiences, struggles, identities, and feelings without fear or judgement. I am a multiculturally-affirming and social-justice oriented therapist, and I believe in both celebrating the beauty of diverse experiences and acknowledging the unique, often systemic, challenges faced by marginalized groups. It is my goal to explore, understand, and honor your lived experience.

As a Queer and neurodivergent person, I understand how difficult it can be to find competent and affirming therapy. I specialize in supporting members of these communities in navigating issues of identity, sexuality, relationality, trauma, spiritual deconstruction, and life transitions. I do my best work with teens, adults, and couples who are looking for a place to have open and honest conversations and are ready to make positive change in their lives.

I will work with you to create a therapy experience that feels accessible and empowering. My approach is built on nonjudgemental curiosity, honest self-exploration, and the belief that all humans have the fundamental ability to find meaning and fulfillment despite the challenges life presents. I value humor, creativity, and genuineness in the therapy room, and I encourage my clients to approach their own lives with curiosity and acceptance rather than judgement or shame. My therapeutic style is integrative, meaning that I will adapt my approach based on your needs. My approach is informed by the humanist theories, including existentialism, logotherapy, gestalt, person-centered, and humanistic sandtray therapy. These methods allow us to uncover the underlying factors that inform your experiences and better understand how to move forward with integrity.

Therapy can be daunting and emotionally exhausting. The journey toward mental wellbeing won’t always be easy, but you are worth the effort.
