Life Planning

Life Planning is a customizable support service for all ages—whether you’re setting out on your own, navigating a new life transition, or supporting your teen or young adult as they figure out their next steps. Together, we’ll clarify goals, break them into manageable steps, and build the skills and structure needed to move forward with confidence. This is hands-on, real-world support designed to help you make meaningful progress toward a future that feels truly your own.

How Life Planning Works

Envision

Together, we’ll identify your strengths and the next steps that matter most for your growth and independence, then set meaningful goals that reflect where you want to go. From there, we’ll create a personalized Life Plan — a living document that outlines your goals, tracks your progress, and keeps us focused as we move forward. This is the starting point for building a Life Plan that feels realistic, personal, and achievable.

Grow

With your goals in place, we’ll break them down into manageable steps and actively work together to complete them. Each session builds momentum as we tackle tasks, practice new skills, and connect you with resources that move you forward. This stage is about consistent progress and building confidence through action.

Achieve

This is where goals become reality. As you reach milestones, you’ll see the results of your hard work—greater independence, stability, and confidence. Along the way, we’ll celebrate wins, adjust where needed, and keep building on the progress you’ve made. With flexible support, we’ll keep moving forward together and support you in shaping a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you.

  • Yes, if it’s helpful. With your permission, parents, caregivers, or other support people can be included to encourage accountability and progress.

  • Not quite. Life coaching is usually focused on motivation, mindset, and accountability. Life Planning is more hands-on and practical. We don’t just talk about goals — we actively work on them together. That may mean filling out applications, creating a budget, practicing skills, or getting connected to resources. It’s structured support, not just advice.

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some people work with us for a few months to reach a specific milestone, while others stay long term for ongoing structure and support. The plan is flexible and designed around your goals.

  • No — Life Planning is not therapy. Therapy focuses on mental health, emotions, and healing. Life Planning is focused on practical skills, structure, and achieving goals. Many clients find it helpful alongside therapy, but it’s not a replacement for it.

  • Both! Sessions can take place in person at our Fort Worth office or virtually across the US. This flexibility makes Life Planning accessible no matter your location.

  • That’s okay! Life Planning is designed to help you figure out what matters most to you and break it into achievable steps. You don’t have to have it all figured out before starting.

  • Each session is customized, but it usually involves reviewing goals, tackling practical tasks together, and building skills step by step. We focus on making sure you leave each session with progress made.
