PTSD Treatment in Fort Worth & Across Texas
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can develop after any experience that overwhelms your ability to cope , whether that's a single traumatic event or years of ongoing stress and harm. PTSD isn't a sign of weakness. It's your nervous system trying to protect you from something that hurt you. But those protective responses can become their own source of suffering, making it hard to feel safe, present, or like yourself.
Effective, evidence-based PTSD treatment is available. You don't have to keep managing this on your own.
PTSD Symptoms We Help With
Flashbacks and intrusive memories, nightmares, hypervigilance and being easily startled, emotional numbness or disconnection, avoidance of reminders, difficulty trusting others, shame and self-blame, and sleep disturbances.
How We Work
Our therapists use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), trauma-focused CBT, and somatic approaches, all of which have strong evidence behind them for PTSD treatment. Nona Perry, LCSW is EMDR Certified and offers EMDR Intensives, which are extended sessions designed to accelerate trauma processing for clients who want to move through the work more quickly.
Who We Work With
We work with adults and adolescents (10+) diagnosed with or experiencing symptoms of PTSD. We see clients in person in Fort Worth and virtually across Texas.
